What Falu Tank is all about!

New ideas.

Falu Tank AB is based in Falun and Hedemora, Sweden. Falu Tank AB has been in the business for 25 years. We have been doing refurbishment and inspections of oil- and petroltanks made of steel. Falu Tank Försäljnings AB is an offspring from the company Falu Tank AB.

From the knowledge of this company came the idea to build a tank that would last during the lifespan of a petrol station and requiring virtually no maintenance. This idea came in 1987. Starting from that idea the engineers began their work and the product were created. In 1989 when all tests were done and the prototypes were built a company was established, Falu Tank Försäljnings AB.

The production was small-scale at first and there was an ongoing development of the products and the manufacturing techniques. As time went by new products were constructed such as oil- and petrolseparators and pump islands for petrol stations.

Environment.

Falu Tank has gone out of it's way to make products that efficiently avoids damages to the environment, damage of chemical products.

Using new techniques our oil- and petrolseparators have reached astonishingly good results. The discharge of oil is 40% lower than the highest allowed levels in Swedish regulations.

The pump islands are founded on a leakage protection chamber(LPC) which collects any waste or leakage from the pumps.

The tanks can be made to have two glassfibre reinforced plastic(GRP) layers that are separated by an interspace. This is done so that you can put an electronic leakage alarm in the interspace and so that the second layer of GRP will stop any leakage that may occur. This construction means extra safety.

Our customers

We have exported our products to, for exampel, Estonia, Russia, Romania and Norway. Our customers include the big oilcompanies such as: Shell, OK, Statoil, Texaco, Preem etc. We also supply our products and services to the swedish armed forces.
